Tips for Buying Health Insurance
Choose a floater plan for family
A family floater is more cost-efficient than individual plans for each member when members are young and healthy.
Check network hospitals
Ensure your preferred hospitals are in the insurer's cashless network before buying.
Don't delay for parents
Buy health insurance for parents early. Premiums are significantly higher above 60, and pre-existing conditions may be excluded.
Consider a super top-up
A super top-up plan activates beyond a deductible (e.g., ₹5L) and is much cheaper than buying more base cover.
